Pity Day

Today I have been sick. Actually, I was sick yesterday as well, but I was hoping that I would wake up feeling "all better". My friend, Nicki, called today and I could hardly talk to her because of my lack of voice. It was pathetic and I was really disapointed.
Olivia and I ended up making some bread and homemade noodles to help and help it did. Food can seriously comfort the soul. Another friend dropped by about 10 hostess pies (you know, those little declicious things that contain nothing that was once living and have about 20 grams of fat per serving and are ridiculously addictive) and so this evening is getting better:) However, before I eat all of them during one movie, I need to remember what Olivia said to me earlier:
"Mom, when you get frustrated you look like a silly elephant."
Coincidence, I think not. Definately time to get a little more active on the aerobic side...

My girls

Can you spot the real thing?

Evalyn just decided she needed some "chill" time.

Olivia can be such a cutie. As long as she doesn't realize I have the camera (until it it too late), I can get in some pretty good shots.

Window Washers

I caught the girls licking our sliding door. Just building the ol' immune system, eh.
Were you able to get a good look at those chompers on Evalyn? Anybody else think she looks like Chunk on the movie, Goonies?
Sorry about the sideways picture (just turn your
head), but I really don't have the patience or the brainpower right now to figure it out!

Beauty Time

So my neighbor's daughter is best friends with Olivia (they can't decide half the time to fight or have fun...or maybe they have fun fighting...), and she bought Olivia this GINORMOUS make-up set for Christmas. She has more make-up than I do now (16 eyeshadows for example!) and is thoroughly enjoying it. She has unleashed her creative beautification powers upon everyone-including daddy.
I think that I am going to get my neighbor a puppy...

freezing-sunshiney day

So it was freezing today, but the sun was shining and Olivia and I were feeling adventurous. We packed the stroller to the hilt with blankets and snacks and headed out for the park. It was fun and freezing. Olivia was desperately trying to say anything to get me to stay a little bit longer. She even resorted to, "But mom, you can take more pictures of me over here..."

I had to add the shadow picture because when else am I ever going to look that tall?

The time has come for me to get involved in a blog. Unbelievable, eh. However, I have made precautions and resolved to limit my time because this could easily become a major addiction. I love to hear and see how all the friends all over the place are doing so I thought I would return the favor. I am only posting a couple family pictures, because it seriously took my for-ev-er to figure out even that much and my self-imposed time limit is reaching its end. Yet more will be coming...
